The Forsaken is a captivating book. Following the story of Gwen as she begins to learn about who she is and what she is keeps you hooked. She has a very rough life, but has bright spots that appear regularly. I am interested in reading the rest of the books to see the plots that have been started get wrapped up (who is the mysterious guy that keeps appearing, what will happen with the man who is supposed to become king, what happened to Madame Fortune (have to check her name) after we left her)? This is not a book I would recommend for younger teens, but it has been interesting to read.
